Description Of Myself

Hey, this is my homepage, so I have to say something about myself. Sometimes it is hard to introduce yourself because you know yourself so well that you do not know where to start with. Let me give a try to see what kind of image you have about me through my self-description. I hope that my impression about myself and your impression about me are not so different. Here it goes.

I am a person who is positive about every aspect of life (Are you sure..?). There are many things I like to do, to see, and to experience. I like to read, I like to write, I like to think, I like to dream, I like to talk, I like to listen. I like to see the sunrise in the morning, I like to see the moonlight at night, I like to feel the music flowing on my face, I like to look at the clouds in the sky with a blank mind, I like to do thought experiment when I cannot sleep in the middle of the night. I like flowers in spring, rain in summer, leaves in autumn, and snow in winter. I like to sleep early, I like to get up late, I like to be alone, I like to be surrounded by people. I like country’s peace, I like the beautiful places, I like the flat cornfield in Champaign. I like delicious food and comfortable shoes, I like good books and romantic movies. I like the land and the nature, I like people. And, I like to laugh.
I always wanted to be a great person, like my mum and dad, or like my lecture. They have many experiences. Of course, I am nowhere close to these people, yet. I am just someone who does some teaching, some research, and some writing. But my dream is still alive.
This is a brief introduction of myself. If you are interested in knowing more, read my article or take a look at my picture. Do not expect too much, and keep your sense of humor.
Lastly, I want to say thanks to my lecturer Miss Raja Nor Liana Bt. Raja Omar because give me this assignment. And I get a lot of experience about places and how to created attractive blogger. Thank you very much….That’s all…Hope you like this blog...('',)

DESTINATION 15: MALACCA

The Origin of the Name "Melaka"

As far as could be ascertained there are no less than three versions as where the State of Malacca derived its name. The least probable of the three was from Gaspar Correa made in the 16th century.
He contended that Malacca (Melaka) was derived from Mulagas which was a kind of salted fish exported from the state.
A version mildly accepted was that the name came from Mulagah which is Arab for a meeting. The acceptance of this version was attributed to Malacca being a meeting place in the 15th and 16th centuries for merchants from countries near and far..
There were, however, scholars who contended that the Malays then would not have accepted an Arabic term because the Arab merchants at the time were not a prominent community.
More scholars and historians were agreed that Malacca (Melaka) derived its name from a tree, the 'pokok Melaka'. (See pic.) Their reasoning was that the local inhabitants at the time were fond of naming places after plants or trees. The Melaka tree was then also growing in abundance along the banks of Air Lereh.
Some of the places that bear the names of trees or plants to this day are Kampung Alai, Kampung Bertam, Pengkalan Kempas, Kampung Merlimau and Kampung Kundang.
Still, this last version is not necessarily the correct one as there is no positive proof that it is.

Al-Khawarizmi Astronomy Complex

Al-Khawarizmi Astronomy Complex is one of the facilities that are provided by Melaka State Government in order to study and to explore the growth and the mystery of the universe.
There are three main buildings in the Complex, which are the observatory, the Planetarium and the Training Centre. Due to the expansion of Al-Khawarizmi Astronomy Complex, Malaysians have the opportunity to study and appreciate astronomy better.

Melaka River Cruise
The river was the main artery of trade for Melaka in its heyday when it was bustling with traders from all around the world.
Some buildings from that era still stand majestically by the river, which is also lined by old villages, or kampungs, and modern day buildings.
The 45-minute cruise is accompanied by an entertaining and informative commentary. And, for just RM8*, it's a good bargain.

See parts of historical Melaka, get a history lesson for next to nothing, and never break a sweat!

India is truly an exciting country which offers tourists to do and see so many exciting things to make the holidays enjoyable and memorable. India is a spiritual land, a land where the religion and philosophy have attained their cultivating points. India is like a reward to every traveler who explores this mysterious country.

Taj Mahal, Agra India.
First destination in India is Taj Mahal, Agra, India. The Taj Mahal looms fairytale-like from the banks of the Yamuna River. It's India’s most recognized monument and is also one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It's made out of marble and took 22 years and 20 000 workers to complete. Taj Mahal was built by the order of Shah Jehan, one of the greatest Mughal emperors, in the memory of his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal after her death. This outstanding white marble monument has become the symbol of eternal love. The stunning red sandstone Gateway and Mughal Charbagh garden enhance the beauty of Taj Mahal. Taj Mahal means "Crown Palace" and is in fact the most well preserved and architecturally beautiful tomb in the world. If observed minutely around the archways, the lettering of the Quran verses appears to be uniform, regardless of their height.

The Charminar
The second place in India is The Charminar. The Charminar is one more imperative place to visit. Built in the heart of the Hyderabad along with Ramoji Film City and Golconda Fort. The graceful structure of the Charminar in Hyderabad is a stunning exemplar of Cazia style of architecture consists of granite and lime-mortar. Mohammed Quli Qutub Shah built this Islamic architectural majesty in 1591. You must see Charminar if you are visiting Hyderabad.
The astonishing monument with its four arches is so proportionately designed that when the fort is opened one could catch a glance of the flurry Hyderabad city as these Charminar arches were facing the most active royal inherited streets. Once there, feel the calm of the terrace and see life bustling below. In sharp contrast to the dynamic and vigorous life in the ground floor, the peaceful isolation in the upper part of the fort is relaxing. You can enjoy the adoring beauty of the Hyderabad city from this point, which is quite impressive sight.

Mysero
Next trip in India is Mysero. Mysore is called city of palaces. Mysore is also known for sandalwood products and the Dasar festival celebrated every year.Mysore has a moderate climate.
